Solid, high precision adapter made out of a single piece of brass. Black chromed on camera side, Teflon coated for smooth mounting. It is recommended to mount the lens on adapter first, then attach to camera. Lens change with adapter on camera is not possible.
No limits for use on Canon EOS Digital Rebel series and 20-50D series.
Special notes for usage on Canon EOS 5D, 5DMk2 and EOS 1D:
Some Yashica/Contax lenses have a protruding rear portion that may rub against a section of the camera's mirror box and cause damage. Please see the images for examples of such lenses and the effect. In such cases the sticking out part of the lens must be machined away before attaching the lens to the camera body (this should not affect functionality on a Yashica/Contax body). We do not take responsibility for any damage caused, please handle with care. This issue does not affect EF-S mount bodies.
Examples of lenses that cannot be used include (but are not limited to): 15mm F3.5, 18mm F4, 28mm F2, 45mm F2.8, Macro 60 F2.8
Examples (non-inclusive) of lenses that may be used after modification: 16mm F2.8 Fisheye, 28mm F2.8, 35mm F2.8, 50mm F1.4
