This newly self-published book from Hideo Takiura features work shot by him over a 10 year period, at the same time that he was shooting the street photography that makes up his other self-published title, Tokyo Bodies. However, when he began to shape the work into a series and ultimately his Tokyo Bodies book, he focused on the "street photography" aspect where random strangers formed the central subject. However, for this new photo book, there are no people present in any of the shots. What there are are a series of city street portraits wherein the man-made landscape seems to exude a human presence, or in some cases resembles aspects of man himself.
