NAKAJI, by Daido Moriyama

Kodansha continues their series of paperback republications of classic and out-of-print Daido Moriyama titles with NAKAJI, which brings together two Moriyama books published by the small but influential Tokyo publisher Sokyu-sha: Nakaji e no tabi ("A Journey to Nakaji", 1987) and Mizu no yume (Dream of Water, 1999).

The original publication "A Journey to Nakaji", edited by the influential photo editor Akira Hasegawa, now goes for very high sums on the used book market. "Nakaji" refers not to a place but rather to the photographer Yasui Nakaji (1903-1942), and this book is Moriyama's homage to him.

Softcover, 175 pages.
