Landscape photographs taken in various parts of Japan including Hokkaido and the Tokyo Islands, this monograph collects work Kadoi has done over the last 5 years. These are not pretty landscapes, but they are more often than not beautiful. As Kadoi writes in the brief afterword (translated into English), "...everywhere I go, I can always find evidence of human life. In uninhabited landscapes I see human beings."
Please see our interview with Kadoi as well as a selection of images from her book.
