Famed itinerant photographer Katsumi Watanabe's Hot Dog Shinjuku 1999-2000 is a chronicle of the turf Watanabe explored in depth in his seminal "Gangs of Kabukicho." Shot over the course of a year as "the drifting photographer of Shinjuku" was turning 60, marking the last major publication of Watanabe's work when he was alive (he passed away in 2006).
