Neopan Professional is the line of black-and-white films made by Fujifilm. There are four types available, but which one is the right one for you?
To help you making up your mind, in this set you can purchase three rolls of 35mm film with 36 frames each. We can assume that it will take at least three rolls of film to get familiar with the characteristics of exposure, processing and general handling. Once you have seen which member of the family suits you best, you can dive into our selection of larger packs and bulk rolls. Please specify in the options which of the four flavours you want.
So once more, what are the choices?
With a medium sensitivity of ISO100, Neopan SS is a forgiving black-and-white negative film with extra wide latitude. Fine grain, superior sharpness and rich gradation are allowing larger magnification at the time of enlargement. Available only on the Japanese market, this is a general purpose emulsion.
Then there is Neopan Acros 100, Fujifilm Professional's newest addition to its black-and-white family of films. Neopan 100 Acros is a medium speed, ultra-high-image quality black-and-white negative film and features the world's highest standard in grain quality among ISO 100 films. It is claimed to be the finest grain quality ISO 100 black-and-white film and has excellent processing characteristics, rich gradation and outstanding sharpness making it suitable for a wide range of photographic applications.
Moving up the speed ladder, next is Neopan Presto 400, a black & white film capable of attaining superior image results from high-speed film characteristics.
High sensitivity, high picture quality and sharpness, fine grain for all-around photographic applications. Pushes nicely to EI800 - 3200, for example in night scenes, low light situations like events lit by artificial light.
