IMPORTANT INFORMATION -- PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Micro Four-Thirds (M4/3) C mount/T mount lens connector (consists of outer ring + inner screw mount = 2 parts)
In cases where, for some reason, a lens cannot be screwed into the adapter as-is or where the aperture or depth of field scales may end up in the place where you cannot see them. The screws can be loosened and the assembly turned to a position you like.
Please follow these instructions to detach the inner ring, mount the lens on that ring and re-attach the assembly to the outer ring:
There are three (3) M1.4 screws around the bayonet. (One screw is under the stopper screw and will appear when the stopper screw is removed.)
1) The inner screw mount can be detached by loosening the three screws with a micro/mini minus slot screwdriver (3-4 turns).
2) Screw the lens into the inner mount.
3) Ensure that the lens indication point aligns at the red point of the connector's outer ring, and screw in inner screw mount and fix it with the 3 screws.
WARNING: Please be aware that the M1.4 screw minus slot is very delicate. In the case where strong force is applied the slot/screw head will be destroyed and connector/lens can no longer be removed. In such a case, neither the connector nor the attached lens can be used and repair is impossible.
4) Put back the stopper screw removed earlier.
5) Attach the assembly to the camera.
WARNING: If a lens with excessive rear-protrusion (i.e. rear of lens sticks out more than 3mm to the back of connector (camera side) too long), this will permanently damage parts of the camera mount or the camera's shutter.
MS-Optical is able to perform lens modification/adjustment to a lens to ensure it will attach to the camera without problems. For this the customer’s lens must be sent to us and the work is carried out for a small fee. When adjustment and attachment to a camera are performed by the customer, please use this device with maximum attention. We take no responsibility for any problems that might occur, such as damage to camera, lens and mount.
Optional plastic Micro Four Thirds lens rear cap available (Rayqual Japan).
