Memento-Mori (English Version), by Shinya Fujiwara
[memento]
¥3,790

Published in December, 2008, this is the first-ever English edition of Shinya Fujiwara's Memento-Mori, first published in Japan in 1983. The book features Fujiwara's photography from Japan, Southeast Asia, and India, and is accompanied by his musings on life, death, and various other subjects, in the style of short one or two sentence captions.

Largely unknown outside of Japan, the 64-year old Fujiwara has published over 20 books in Japan, and a regular contributor to several Japanese travel magazines. His out of print books are quite sought after and command high prices.
