Omni Polis, by Shogo Yamada
[omnipolis]
¥2,190

Shogo Yamada is part of the three-man Osaka-based publishing collective Vacuum Press, publisher of two of the most popular independently published Japanese photo books of recent years, Citizens and Kokubyaku Note by photographer and fellow collective member Jun Abe.

Published right around the time of the earthquake and tsunami that struck northern Japan in March of 2011, this title unfortunately escaped our attention until recently. But it should come as no surprise that Yamada is also a photographer with an eye for the street to rival Abe's, yet with his own unique vision.

You can read a review of this title at Invisible Photography Asia.

Softcover, 28cm x 18.5cm, 118 pages, 55 b/w photos.
