The 12th "issue" of Daido Moriyama's series of slim magazine-like books that he calls Record, based on the short-lived self-produced magazine of the same name that he put out in the 70's. This particular issue features work all shot in Japan.
Moriyama pens a humorous afterword (available in both Japanese and English) wherein he manages to name drop Roland Barthes and Sherrie Levine, and which he concludes by saying: "For us street photographers there is no other option but to buzz around things like flies and see where we can scrounge something."
Softcover, 21cm x 28cm, approximately 48 pages. Signed by Moriyama, this issue was released in August, 2009.
