Daido Moriyama auto-portrait is the first publication from a new publishing venture called MMM, which brings together book editor/producer Hisako Motoo, art director Satoshi Machiguchi, and photographer Moriyama who aim to publish one unique, special edition book of Moriyama's photography per year.
Debuting to rave reviews at the 2010 Paris Photo fair, auto-portrait collects self-portraits Moriyama has shot over the course of 41 years.
Hardcover, with slipcase. 26cm x 18cm, 84 pages, 36 reproductions. Each photo is captioned with location and year it was taken, and book includes an essay about Moriyama's self-portraits by Simon Baker, Curator of Photography and International Art at the Tate Modern, London (English only). Limited to 1000 copies, each book is signed by Moriyama on the front free-endpaper, and numbered.
