A retrospective look at the work of Daido Moriyama, as selected by photographer and curator Yoshihiko Ueda (the book doubles as the catalog for the exhibition that Ueda curated for his Tokyo space Gallery 916). Although many of the images will be familiar to Moriyama devotees, the presentation reveals Ueda's skillfulness as a curator while allowing us to appreciate the photographs in and of themselves, rather than in the customary context of a barrage of images.
