Hi Philippe,

I checked on this with Rayqual and they are not aware of any issue - which doesn't mean that there won't be any, but bear in mind that they have been doing M42 for other formats for a long time.

No adapter can ever be totally free of complications or incompatibilities because there are simply too many variations of lens and body combinations. You have to try to be sure. Feel free to order the adapter and you can return it in case it does not work for refund (excluding postage).

There are two types of M42 adapters, one with an internal rim
which
depresses the auto-aperture pin and one with no rim. The
most recent SMC
Takumars with full aperture metering (on the
appropriate Pentax body)
should not be used with the rimmed
adapter, as the diaphragm coupling
lever grinds against the rim.

My question is : Does the Rayqual M42-M4/3 adapter work
with these most recent
SMC-Takumar M-42 lenses ?

Hi Bill,

I have not heard of such an adapter, in fact I am not aware of any Minolta AF/Sony Alpha adapters. Whether that's a technical, market potential or legal/patent issue I don't know.
